About the Animanima festival

ANIMANIMA has existed since 2007, traditionally held under the auspices of the City of Čačak and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.

ANIMANIMA presents the contemporary European and global production in this field, with an aim to affirm the art of film animation.

The festival is based on a concept of international review programmes, including presentations of animators’ portraits, the school of animation, authors retrospective and presentations of animated films studios, as well as accompanying fringe programmes (lectures, exhibitions, multimedia events).

Cultural Center Čačak

The Cultural Centre in Čačak was founded in 1971. The institution is located at the heart of the city’s central zone, in a landmark building designed by the architect L. Šverer in 1970. In its fifth decade of existence and successful operation, the Cultural Centre in Čačak remains the focal point for cultural events and a unique mediator in the broad field of culture, firmly rooted in the overall social and economic pulse of the city, and a major initiator and creator of the cultural customs of the citizens of Čačak.

The programme activities of the Centre unravel within five basic conceptual segments: Theatre Programme, Literary Programme, Art Programme, Cultural and Educational Programme and Film and Video Programme.
